So it has been a bit since I have written anything. I went out to Arizona for my dad' s surgery and I was out there with the kids for about 6 weeks. Here are some of the things that we did.

So, I thought that I might get everyone caught up on the happenings in our house. We are still here chugging along in Sandy , Ut. Cooper is a active 2 years old and Carter is 1! I am still working at a free standing ER in Draper, which is usually slow but when it is busy... So working in a free standing ER you quckly learn that your are there alone. I guess I should not say alone you have the ER staff but you don't have an enitre hospital or multipule doctors to help. I work with some great nurses and I am so glad that when they hired for this place they only took nurses with ER experience. I was recently up for the manager position at this ER and it made me realize that I needed to go back to school. So. now I am going to school full time to finish my Bachelor's in Nursing and then I will work on my Master's Degree. I have not deiced what my Master's degree will be in yet, nursing education, nursing informatics or nursing administration. Going back to school has been quite the endeavor. Since I am doing it all on-line it is a lot different than the last time I was in school. I truly believe that I have read more in this semester than I ever did at U of A. The sad thing is the class that is requiring most of my time is a lame gen ed class and it is only 200 level!!! I will be going home to Tucson for about a month starting in the next couple of weeks. My dad will be having surgery so I thought it would be best for me to just take off the time from work and be home so I don't have to worry about things so far a way. Which will leave Nic home alone!!!! Sorry everyone in Utah! :) But other than the the hustle of life things are all good. And I hope all is well with everyone else too.

Here is Cooper playing in the yard. He was cracking me up that day because he kept this hat on. Mr Cooper also went to the doctor for his 2 year check up and he is already 36 inches tall. Which puts him just above the 75%tile. Yes he is tall but the thing kiling me is his feet. He is growing out of them so fast yesterday I bought a size 8 thinking that they would be too big. I tried them on him just a little bigger than just the right size. Crazy!

Here is Miss Carter trying to feed herself. And this is when dad learned not to leave the jar of baby food on her tray even for just a second.

Well here are some recent pictures. They are from my phone so you know. I am back to work and that is going well for me. Nic and Carter are still adjusting. Although being back at work has made me realize how much sleep I have not been getting. The thing is when one goes down the other gets up. I can't wait till we start feeding this kid real food, breast milk just does not stay in them long enough sometimes.

Here is Miss Carter Catherine. She was born on Sept. 1st, 9lbs 2oz, 21in . I started having contractions at about 6:30 in the morning and she was born right before 10 am. Apparently when I go into labor that is it. I was scheduled for an induction that day(yes it was before my due date) So, when i got there I told them I thought I was in labor all ready. So they sent me to registration. Then I went to my room got changed and the nurse came in. I let her know too that I was all ready in labor and she said okay let me get your blood drawn and iv started and then i will check you. Okay... Well there were problems getting my iv started. So while she is working on that I feel a gush of warm water and I did not pee my self. That got the nurse moving. let's see what you are... a 5 okay now we start calling people. About 20min later one more check because I was starting to huff and puff by then oh you are 7. hey let's get that anesthesia guy and his cart of goodness in here!!! So the nurse is taring things open and I am trying not to kill someone. This I think is where the miracle comes into play, I did not kill anyone that day. So here we go the goodness cart finally arrives and a doctor that is not mine. What you want me to sit up to get the epidural!!! If I had not been in so much pain and could have talked better, I would have called him a Pansy who can't do a spinal with a pt on their side! Then my doctor walks in, let's do this I got to push!!!!! I was nice to have the epidural for the last 5-10 contractions what ever!! And she was out!!! Total time in labor 3 hours! Working the day before might have helped who knows!!!!!

Happy Birthday Cooper!!!! We had Cooper's 1st birthday this week. I can't believe that he is already a year old. He is doing all those things that one year olds do. Grandma and Grandpa Schagel even come up for the event. I mean who could pass up a chocolate fountain and a bounce house. Thanks to all that came and celebrate with us.

So it has been a long time since my last post but that is what happens when little fingers get where they are not suppose to be. We went for my official ultrasound and guess what we found... a little girl curled up in there!!! And no that is not a bow on her head it is her hand. Every thing seems to be going well. I am feeling good no vomiting or any of that. I am working at the ER three days a week. St. Marks is opening a new ER in Draper which is 5 min from my house and I was offered a position there as well. So I will work two shifts at the new ER and one at my old ER. The new ER is called St Mark's- Lone Peak and we open May 25th!!

Okay so here it is...... Some of you have found out by now that we are expecting again. In layman's terms I am pregnant!!! Are you in shock too. So are we since this was not planned. Cooper will only be 16-17 months when the next one appears. My Ob even said isn't this a bit soon for you to be seeing me again. Poor lady she thought she was going to get rid of me for awhile. I did thank her for not telling me that you are really fertile 6-7 months post pregnancy. She then told me I should have breast feed longer and that might have helped. All right so is it ok to breast feed till he is 16!!!! Yuck! Yah right this kid was coming no matter what we did. So my due date is September 10th. So I am approx 13 weeks right now. You can all pick your jaws up off the floor and remember to breath.

This last week we went to Colorado for a little ski /snow vacation. Here are a few pic from sledding. Nic was able to ski 4 days while we were there. The first day he went he had 17 inches powder from that night before and 45 inches total for the storm that weekend. It was a great trip. Almost all of my family came up from arizona for the fun!! I will try to download some of the vedio.

Here is Cooper and his friend Zach. My friend Amiee was so nice to watch Cooper for me on Thursday. They had a great time playing together. Cooper is two months older than Zach. So he was showing Zach how cool crawling is.

Here is little bit of Christmas. I had to work the night before and the night of Christmas so we kept it low key. Here is cooper's new favorite toy. He kills me all you have to do is say cheese and he will throw out a huge smile!!! So funny. I don't have a picture I could post of Nic and his truck or would. But Nic sold Rosie yesterday!!! Crazy I thought for sure that he would never sell it. And by the way I had nothing to do with it. He got a wild hair and just did it.So here is Nic right after he sold his truck. Were are the tears!!!

Well here he is!!! He is such a ham!! All you have to do is hold the camera up and say cheese and this is what you get!! So funny!! Well, Copper is every where now. He crawls every where, even up the stairs. He is also pulling him self up on things and forgets sometimes that he can't walk yet. Silly kid. He also has 4 1/2 teeth : 3 on the bottom and one and a half on the top? I just wish they would stop taking their sweet time and drop down all the way all ready!!! I hope that everyone has a great Christmas!!!! Love ya All!!!

Boy oh boy!!! Well I guess the days of uninterrupted 8 hours of sleep are over. It is a good thing he is so cute!!!! Don't get me wrong he is sleeping about 6-8 hours at a time but there is usually a time in there that i have to get up and roll him back over or put his button back in his mouth. Oh well such is life hopefully once he starts moving around he will get more tired and sleep harder. Which he might start crawling here soon. We have gotten the rolling over from front to back down and now he goes from back to front and can sit up by him self.... so what left just crawling to get that toy that mom keeps putting just out of my reach!!!!

Next week we go for his 4 month check up!!! He is becoming such a big boy. He is rolling over, supporting the top of his body with his arms and sitting up on his own for about 5 min then he will crumble forward!!!! Oh and he loves to talk to anyone who will talk with him.

So let me tell you about my exciting week. I worked this past weekend which was not bad. Same old story just a different day. Then on Monday afternoon we went down to the sand dunes for nic''s little birthday trip. Well as I am a new dirt bike rider it is really hard for me to ride in the sand. So to put it nicely I really dislike going there. It is just not fun for me, you get sand every where, it's hot and when I ride I wreck all the time. A little side note the first time we were at the sand dunes, it was raining and I had just wreck for the 10th time and that is the only time Nic has heard me say the "f" word amongst others. no bueno!!! Well this trip was no exception. This time I had a 3 month, old breast feeding doesn't that sound fun. Well we were just going to stay in a tent that night because we were going home the next day. So, the tent is up the sun goes down and the wind starts. Our tent has a lot of mesh to keep it cool but when you are in the dunes this does not help. About every 15 min there would be a huge gust of wind that would blow a tun of sand under the canopy and on to your face!!! So then you try to cover your self with the sleeping bag and then the heat starts. Sweaty, sandy, hot, 3 month old baby to care for now doesn't this sound like the best night of your life. I like to call it a little slice of HELL!!!! So will I be going to the sand dunes any time soon, not likely!!!

Here is Cooper saying HI to every one!!!!

So I thought that I would share some of my child birth experience. So we went in at 8am and i was started on pitosin. Then the fun began. The contractions started a few hours later and they kept upping the pitosin. Then about 7 hours later my doctor broke my water. ok, seriously gross!!!! I mean it is great if you enjoy feeling like you are peeing on our self every time you move. lovely!!! So then the contractions got stronger and I got my epidural. Yehhh!!! Drugs!!!! The fun in this is you get to sit up and hunch over a table, lets all remember the water breaking thing that was great. So the nice doctor gives me a little pain meds to help while he places the epidural. That was a nice thought but next time I will pass. Because I am hunched over a bedside table and now I am throwing-up. Awesome!!! Alright that is over finally no pain. just kidding now the epidural wears off, so who knew that they start you epidural with one med and the maintain it with another. Well when your body metabolizes those meds differently then you get PAIN. So we get that under control and now I feel nothing not to mention I can not even move my legs, now we are talking!!! So about 10 1/2 hours into it, it is time to start pushing. So then I get to push for an hour and a half!!!!! So fun, you people that enjoy this miracle are crazy!! Don't get me wrong it is great to have a child but lets not sugar coat it. So about 12 hours after we started he was here!!! The good news was I really did not have and pains after labor. oh yes and please come in and massage my fundus, who knew you could scratch your back through your belly button. Now it is time to rest and gear up for the next bit of fun.

So Cooper is two weeks old now!!!!! He is such a good little boy. And such a little cutie!!!!
He even is on an M&M!!! I thought that these are so great!!!! You just upload a picture and type you little message and in a week you get a package of m&m with your face on them!!!

HE IS HERE!!!! Little Cooper was 8lbs 5oz!!!! We went in at 8 am to be induced and he was out at 8:30 that night. This is a picture the day we left.

The Update

So here is a quick little update. I am 37 weeks now and we could go at any time and things would be fine. I met with my doctor and we set a date to induce me on May 2nd. So about a week before my actual due date. He is a active little guy and loves to kick!!! I even caught him on the ultrasound at work punching me with his fist!!! I thought he was just in there just going crazy and I was right!!!! So only two more weeks!!!! YAH!!!!

Well I am about 33 weeks right now and I am feeling it. Things have been going good. I am still working at the ER three nights a week. I am just hoping that one night I will be a work and it will all start. Then all I have to do have one of my co-workers wheel me over to L&D. When they measure my belly I am two weeks ahead. So we will see, since ts is my first I may be clamped down like Fort Knox. I'll tell you what it is rough when I walk into a patient's room and they are pregnant and telling me that they are sick, tired and don't feel good. Give me a break!!!!! And it does not help that my co-workers ask me if i have twins in there!!! No, I don't I just carry the kid all out in front. I guess I will have to take a few pictures and post them.

Well we just got back from our little adventure to Vegas. We went out there to meet up with Wendy and James. And it was great! Except for of course the fact that Wendy and James got their car broken into but it could have been worse I guess. The shopping was great!! I even got a coach diaper bag and Nic got himself a gas powered remote control car. One of the reason for the big spending was because we won $450 the first night there.

And of as usual we had to make a stop at the m&m store. Who is that guy!!!

So we just had a some visitors at the house and as all good vacations should end.... We ended it with a little private carnival in the front yard. With a huge jump castle and cotton candy!!!! This is me with my protective eye wear. The machine throws it out all over. What a week! Tons of fun.

Everything else is just moving along. I am getting bigger and the little kiddo inside loves to kick around in there. I still have about three months to go and I can only imagine what is to come.

So all the Christmas/new years fun is over. We went down to AZ for the holidays. It was great to see all the fam since most of them I had not seen for almost a year. Then I had to hurry to get back to work my four nights in a row. I am burnt toast now. Plus the weather was nice there too. The night we got back I had about an hour before I had to go to work and By the time I went to work the weather had changed and it was snowing. Just to remind me the I was back. Shelly and the girls had come out to play in the snow the week before we went home and they got their fill of snow. I think that it snowed all but three days that they were here. Hopefully when Chris ad his fam come out it will be better weather. But right now it is still COLD!!! They say that it is going to warm up at the end of the week, the high will be 32 degrees! Which is why my birthday present will be so nice. Nic got me a remote start on my truck!!!! AHHH a warm truck to get into after work!!!! So there it is a little tid bit of the latest.

Well so I am still working on the picture taking thing. Nic and I went to Vegas before Thanksgiving and met up with my mom and dad. While we were there we went and saw Le Reve' at the Wynn WOW. I love those shows!!!!! Nic was even impressed!!! P.s. it was not a nudey show. It was a cirque de soel(?spelling) kind of show. So the most exciting thing in my life right now is that I bought some maternity pants!!! Hoary!!! for stretchy pants. Apparently they have this new waist band thing amazing!!! I am loving it!!! They look like real jeans/pants but they stretch every where!!!! So I got them a little big so I would have room to grow is that wrong?.... haha Not much else happening here just working and getting ready for Christmas. When I go home I am going to have to have Shawn show me how to add pictures and make this look a bit better.

All right it has officially started. So with the kid coming people have been asking me if i was going to start blogging so hey can keep up with the news. so here it goes. I thought that i would start now to get in the habit. Which really just means that i have to start taking a camera with me all the time. So here is the latest I am 16 weeks pregnant now and doing great. Let me answer the question i always get asked.... No I have not been sick at all. I am just one of the lucky ones. Just was really tired the first three months. Now i am hungry!!! We went ahead and put up some Christmas lights, cause I did not want to have do it in the snow. But I won't let Nic turn them on yet. So that is all for now. Let the blogging begin!!
